Alicia Keys Adds 21 Savage on ‘Show Me Love’ Remix
Alicia Keys added Atlanta rapper 21 Savage for the official remix to her Miguel-assisted single “Show Me Love.” The rapper shows a softer side on the sensual of R&B music.
“I sleep in the trap and just thug, but I’d rather you show me some love,” he rap. “I’d rather you show me it’s real / I’d rather you tell me your feelings than you act like I’m trippin’ or high on the pill.”
According to Rap-Up, the collaboration came from a phone call between Savage and Alicia’s husband Swizz Beatz. During their conversation, Savage mentioned that he was a fan of Alicia’s and knew all of her songs, so Swizz suggested they collaborate on the remix song.
The original version of “Show Me Love” was released on September 17 and is the first release for Alicia’s upcoming seventh studio album. She is also slated to release her memoir, More Myself next year (March 31) under Oprah Winfrey’s imprint ‘An Oprah’ Book.’
