John Legend and Kelly Clarkson Duets for a Classic Christmas Song ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’

Two coaches of The Voice Season 17, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson are collaborating on a classic Christmas song, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”

On Tuesday (Oct. 29), Legend wrote a caption on his Instagram tease about his upcoming track with Clarkson.

“If you had a song with @KellyClarkson you’d want to promote your Christmas album in October too!” he wrote. “Signed copies of the deluxe edition of #ALegendaryChristmas are available for pre-order now!”

Later, the song will feature on Legend’s forthcoming album of “A Legendary Christmas: The Deluxe Edition,” which will drop on Nov. 8 under Columbia Records.

The original song of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” was written by Frank Loesser in 1944 and recorded for the 1949 film Neptune’s Daughter and won an Oscar for Best Original Song in 1950.

It has been covered by Michael Bublé, Lady Gaga, Tom Jones and Cerys Matthews, and actors Will Ferrell and Zooey Deschanel for the 2003 movie called “Elf.”
